“Venice is a fish. Just look at it on a map. It’s like a vast sole stretched out against the deep.”
Tiziano Scarpa “Venice is a fish. A sensual Guide “
Have you noticed that Venice from above is shaped like a fish?
Viewed from a different perspective Venice can be really appealing to children too!
The narrow alleyways turn into a whimsical maze, the bizarre statues hide mysteries to be solved and the waterbuses become ships to be explored…..it’s all part of a game!
Visiting Venice with the whole family can be a challenge. The BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel Sant’Elena is making it easy for families travelling with children, with a vast array of amenities and comforts specifically designed for guests who prefer a more peaceful and modern location, and an amazing park where kids can run freely.
Your little ones’ needs are our top priority!
An extensive list of items is available upon request: cribs or cots for sweet dreams, infant tubs, plush changing tables, bottle warmers, playing mats, Chicco products to nurture babies ‘sensitive skins.
We love to make mornings very special for our Princes and Princesses, with Nutella, Nesquik and other delicious treats to be enjoyed on our colorful plates, bowls and small tableware.
There’s a very special package for mums and dads who want to enjoy a carefree vacation in Venice with their children….the KIDS PACKAGE! Our little guests will be thrilled to be entertained with the legendary Nintendo WII or the best cartoons on our satellite TV for more relaxing nights.
….The magic continues outside!
The island of Sant’Elena, where the hotel is located, is renowned for its green spaces: parco delle Rimembranze and the Gardens of the Biennale are the ideal spots for kids to play safely. Moreover, it’s a peaceful oasis, inhabited mainly by locals, where tourists can catch a glimpse of everyday life in Venice.
The waterbus dock is located 150 mt. from the Hotel and the ride to St. Mark’s square lasts only 5 minutes, so our little visitors will not get tired!
Alternatively, walking to St. Mark’s square along Riva degli Schiavoni takes no longer than 30 minutes and can be really entertaining for children, who can look at their reflections in the lagoon, observe the city from a higher standpoint on the bridges or simply chase the pigeons!
What about a day at the beach?
Many will probably associate Venice Lido with the world famous film festival, but not everybody knows that this place (just one stop away by waterbus) holds many surprises.
The “Lido” is the beach of the locals. Elegant, laid- back, evocative and safe. Between works of art and social life the summer colony of Venice offers unforgettable moments of total relax on the beautiful beach, fully equipped to welcome families with children.
