What is included in the room rate?
Room rates include: American breakfast, satellite TV and complimentary wireless internet access in the room and throughout the Hotel, taxes (excludes Venice Tourist tax).
What is Venice Tourist Tax and how much does it cost?
Effective August 24th 2011, the city of Venice Council has enforced a new tourist tax. The levy will be charged on a sliding scale according to Hotel star rating scale, with a maximum of 4 Euros per person/night in a 4 star hotel on the first 5 consecutive nights. Payments must be made to the Hotel Reception upon arrival. Please note that this is a government tax collected by the city council and does not include any service offered by the Hotel. Children under 10, tour leaders and tourist bus drivers are exempt from the tax. Children between the age of 10 and 16 are entitled to a 50% discount.
Can I book online?
Sure! Making a reservation on our website is fast and easy: simply type in your information on the top left of the reservation mask and click “book” to check availability and prices. We guarantee the best rates on the internet! If you find a lower price elsewhere, with the same terms and conditions, we'll match it and take another 10% off!
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and CartaSi, American Express and Diners.
Is it safe to pay by credit card?
Since all sensitive data is encrypted to keep it protected, the hotel room reservation process is absolutely safe.
Your credit card details (number and expiry date) are required to guarantee your reservation. The hotel reserves the right to verify the validity of the credit card prior to arrival by pre-authorizing the price of one night stay, as a guarantee in case of late cancellation or no show. Reservations made with credit cards that are incorrect, invalid or missing details will not be confirmed – and therefore not guaranteed.
How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?
Upon completion of the booking process, you will receive an email confirmation listing the details of your reservation.
Can I cancel/modify my reservation?
All reservations made through our website www.hotelsantelena.com, except special promotions, can be changed or cancelled by 4pm (local time) one day prior to arrival without penalty.
For all other offers, please refer at all times to the individual cancellation policy.
What happens in case of no show, early departure, late cancellation or changes?
In case of no show, early departure and/or change/cancellation after 4pm of the day prior to arrival, a penalty of 1 night accommodation will be charged to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation.
What time is check in/check out?
Check in time is 2pm on the day of arrival and check out time is 12pm. If you have any special requests, please notify our staff beforehand- they’ll be delighted to help.
What happens if I check in late?
Our Front Desk services are available 24 hours, therefore there is always someone to welcome our guests. All guaranteed reservations are held until 8am of the following day.
What is the cost of an extra bed in the room?
Every extra bed will incur a 25% surcharge on the price of the double room.
Can I book a double for single use?
Yes you can! The price of a double for single use is 80% of the cost of the double room.
What’s the maximum number of sleepers allowed in the room?
Some of our rooms can sleep up to 4 adults. Select the number of guests on the reservation mask to find the room most suitable to your needs.
Do you provide baby cribs in the room? What is the cost?
Yes, cribs are available upon request at no extra cost for children under 2 years of age. If you’re travelling with children we recommend our Kids Rooms.
Do you offer services for the physically challenged?
Yes, some of our rooms on the ground floor are specifically designed to address the needs of physically challenged guests. We also guarantee easy access to all Hotel services.
Do you have smoking rooms?
We do have smoking and non-smoking rooms to satisfy all our guests’ needs. Please select your preference on the reservation form.

Do your rates include breakfast?
Yes, American buffet breakfast is included in the rate.
When is breakfast served?
American buffet breakfast, which is included in the rate, is served every morning between 7.30 am and 11.00am, and can be enjoyed in the breakfast room or, if the weather allows, outside in the garden.
Do you have a Restaurant? What are your restaurant hours of operation?
Our elegant Restaurant Valentine’s, featuring dishes of authentic Venice cuisine, is open for dinner only from 7pm to 10pm and closed on Sundays. Upon request, our chef can create vegetarian and gluten free menus.
Private dinners and banquets can also be arranged upon request

Is there room service in the Hotel and if so what are the hours of operation?
Room service is available between 8am and 11pm at an extra charge. In room dining can be enjoyed between 5.30pm and 11pm, also at an additional cost.
Do you provide internet access?
Complimentary wireless internet access is available in the rooms and throughout the Hotel. Two computer stations are also available in the lobby free of charge.
Do you allow pets in the Hotel?
Small pets are allowed only in the room and with prior notification, at an extra charge of 10 Euros per day and a 30 Euros fee for final cleaning.

How far is the Hotel from St. Mark’s Square?
The BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel Sant’Elena is located 2 km from St. Mark’s Square therefore approximately a half hour of pleasant walk along the waterfront promenade “Riva degli Schiavoni” or a 5 minutes ride on the Waterbus ( the stop is located 150 mt. from the hotel).
