Einziges Manko (im Restaurant): No explanation of the dishes and the possibilities to put together any trimmings (contorni). Neither by the staff. Aber: wir waren bereits das zweite Mal hier und waren wieder insgesamt sehr zufrieden!

Die "Bar" war lediglich eine Theke, die nicht zum Trinken/Sitzen eingeladen hat.

Very friendly staff who spoke good English. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Great walk into San Marco but equally easy vaporetto ride.

La experiencia global buena. El único error grave es el restaurante debe de estar a altura de un 4 estrellas y no lo esta.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'hôtel. Il est situé dans un endroit calme mais à proximité de la place St Marc. La chambre était parfaite, le petit déjeuner excellent. Vraiment à recommander. Nous reviendrons.

Très bon séjour. Chambre impeccable, spacieuse, fonctionnelle, décorée avec bon goût et propre. Personnel serviable et souriant. Proche du centre ville, 20 min de marche superbe le long des quais. 2 arrêts en vaporetto de San Marco tout près de l hôtel et arrêt du taxi motoscafo juste à quelques mètres également de l hôtel. Ravie de cette expérience. Hôtel Sant'Elena à recommander.

Our room was airy (12 foot high ceiling, I think) and very spacious. In-room tea/coffee facilities were very welcome in addition to complimentary afternoon tea and cakes in the bar. Booking directly with the hotel gave us added advantages of a welcome drink of choice and 20% discount in the restaurant. Finally, access was brilliant - so handy pulling a case on the flat a mere 150m from the waterbus rather than tackling the numerous steps and bridges elsewhere. We found our way quite easily but hotel signage could be made more visible. A lovely 15 minute walk to San Marco or 5 minutes on the waterbus and it was incredibly helpful to have the electronic signage showing arrival times in both directions. We were delighted with our choice and would definitely stay there on any future trip to Venice. Mille grazie!

Staff recomended a very nice osteria. Only problem were the pillows and the shutters of one window that we couldn't fully open.
