We love the hotel and the staff: such wonderful people work there. It is a beautiful way to stay in Venice.

"Overall the hotel was of a good standard. Staff were friendly and room was very clean. However - I would define a ""Suite"" as somewhere that has an area slightly separate from the bedroom. What we got was not a suite it was a small twin room with a sofa bed in it and should not be marketed as a suite."

This was our third stay at the Hotel Sant'Elena, and as on our other stays every thing was great. We were give a room overlooking the garden, which was wonderful to look out on. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast is great (what happened to the figs this year?!). The rooms are very comfortable and warm, and after a day of walking it's great to have a bathroom with a bath, as this seems to be a rarity in Italy. No doubt we will be back next year.

We said as a comment in the reservation that we don't need an extra bed for our 3 year child. We got an extra bed. No problem at all, just that we didn't have much space left in the room. So please read carefully the comments from the reservations. If it is mandatory to put an extra bed, then inform us. Nice area, nice hotel otherwise. We will recomend this.
