Nightlife in Venice

Venice is better known for its small bars rather than for big dance clubs. Do as the locals do: after a long, tiring day spent walking around the city, end your evening with a nice cocktail or a glass of wine in one of the many cafes or bars around town.

Via Garibaldi, in the Castello neighbourhood is only a few steps away from our hotel. Especially in the warm season and on weekends, it thrives with locals coming for a drink and a good chat with friends.

Where to taste the spritz

If you feel like strolling around and enjoying the wonderful sight of the illuminated monuments at night, you might enjoy exploring the areas around Santa Margherita in Dorsoduro, Fondamenta della Misericordia in Cannaregio and Erbaria near Rialto, where young people sit at outdoor tables to sip the famous spritz, the traditional local aperitif.

Opera night

If you enjoy classical music, an excellent way to appreciate the city’s cultural life is to go to an opera performance or a concert. Teatro La Fenice, located in the nearby San Marco neighbourhood, is a recognized temple of opera. Burnt down twice and rebuilt exactly like the original, it hosts performances of renowned artists of classical music and opera.

You can also choose among the range of concerts offered by amazing classical musical groups that perform in historical churches around the city, such as the monumental Chiesa di Vivaldi, easily accessible from our hotel by vaporetto or on foot.

Summer nights in Venice Lido
In the summer, you may want to explore the nearby Lido Island and its bars with terraces where you can enjoy the night sea breeze and the music while sipping a good cocktail on the beach.
Historic cafes
Thanks to its unique, charming atmosphere, to its canals and its fine architecture, over the centuries, Venice has become the perfect setting for elegant cafes, some of which reached such a fame that they are now symbols of the city. Some of them, like the Caffè Florian and the Gran Caffè Quadri are open until midnight.
